Dubh Prais (pronounced Doo Prash) was opened in July 1988 by James
and Heather McWilliams.
The name is derived from the Gaelic "Prais Dubh" meaning
"The Black Cooking Pot".
Located in the historic Royal Mile opposite the Radisson Blu Hotel,
Dubh Prais small cellar restaurant offers the very best in the
Scottish larder. Venison, pheasant, salmon, scallops and smoked
haddock are featured on the menu.
Reservations are advisable and the restaurant can be booked for
small private parties.

our food is cooked to order by our chef and proprietor, James
McWilliams who is always on duty.
